Rabat, the city of African culture, hosted three grand evenings of colorful and sonorous fashion shows at the National Mohammed V Theater. With several fashion designers, the diversity of African cultures and textile materials shone through. Silk, chiffon, woven cloth, linen, etc., were magnified by these expert hands. For his very first participation in AFRIFATA, Togolese Jacques Logoh presented his collection “Dark side of the moon”. Through this collection, the creator and founder of FIMO228 unveiled a facet of his existence. “I would like to express through this collection my feelings and especially the dark side of my life. Everyone has a sad or joyful story,” said the stylist.
Consisting of 12 pieces, the “Dark side of the moon” collection is made of chiffon and luxury silk fabric in multiple colors. The models also wore glasses and leather bags respectively from Beninese designers Dario Tossou and OYO. This collection also conveys a message of unity: “Africa is Africa, there is no difference between us. Zaineb, the promoter of AFRIFATA, was in Lomé, so it was imperative for me to be by her side for this edition,” said the initiator of the famous fashion event in Togo, FIMO228.
AFRIFATA, the festival dedicated to young talents, saw the participation of several actors from the world of fashion from all corners of the African continent. Angola, Benin, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Senegal, and Togo were present at this meeting around African culture.
