Organized by the Afmaade association, the third edition of the international Afrifata festival will be held from May 4th to 7th in Rabat, Morocco. It will provide an ideal platform for young emerging African stylists to develop their talents in this field in order to contribute to the economic transformation of their countries or communities.

Established since 2018 by the Moroccan Zaïneb Karroumi El Kadiri, the international Afrifata festival aims to be a social incubator dedicated to design and fashion professions for emerging and talented creators. It is the first pan-African program dedicated to youth on the African and European continents, with the objective of economic development and providing support and guidance to young emerging talents in the fields of small businesses, culture, crafts, textiles, and entrepreneurship.

For its third edition, the international Afrifata festival will host several stylists from Congo, Morocco, Senegal, Mauritania, Ivory Coast, and the United Arab Emirates.

The event will provide an ideal platform to unite and strengthen the bonds between young creators on the continent, on one hand, and with the organizers for the emergence of African culture, on the other hand. Afrifata is therefore a festival celebrating fashion and showcasing the richness and diversity of African cultures.

The 2023 edition will be punctuated by discussions with experts in the textile and fashion industries. It will provide an opportunity for young people to benefit from multiple training sessions as well as access to an international guidance network that prioritizes knowledge in the fields of design and fashion. Participants in this edition will have the chance to benefit from the Young Talents Competition and win prizes including a Fashion Week international trip and entrepreneurial support.
